Bunk Rooms

There are eight bunk rooms at Clayoquot Field Station. Each bunk room has four oversize bunk beds, two desks, lockable closets and a window looking out over the rainforest or Tofino Botanical Gardens. The bunk rooms are designed and finished with the intention to provide a comfortable stay in a learning environment.

Teacher's suite

The teacher's suite is a large, private bedroom (Queen) that sleeps two and contains an en suite bathroom. This room is intended to be a private space for teachers, artists in residence and group facilitators.

Upstairs classroom / Conference room

The upstairs classroom is 750 ft². The view looks onto a large, covered deck that overlooks Tofino Botanical Gardens and the rainforest. Chairs, conference tables and audio and visual equipment are available.

Downstairs classroom

The downstairs classroom is a 500 ft² room, located in the basement of the building. This space is ideal for group lab activities, like plant pressing or specimen observation.

"Break-out room"

Sometimes groups need an intimate environment to solve problems and enhance small group learning. The two Break-Out Rooms are intended for small group meetings and seminars.

Complete Kitchen

Groups and individuals staying at CFS are responsible for preparing and cooking their own meals. The kitchen is big - very big. There are two cook-stoves, a large fridge and freezer and ample counter and storage room.

Dining area

The dining area is designed to be an inclusive space where people from different disciplines and walks of life can share their meals daily experiences.

shower and laundry facilities

There are two bathrooms, each with two showers. Pay-laundry facilities are available for guest use.

Wireless high speed internet

Wireless high-speed Internet access is available to all guests at CFS. Technical support is not available.

Our buildings and a large portion of the gardens are wheelchair accessible.
